Cynthia Skogerboe, Advisory Board Treasurer

Cynthia Skogerboe is the Senior Staff Manager and a Consultant with NP Strategies, a 501(c)3 management and consulting firm serving the nonprofit sector. As a Consultant, she has worked with numerous direct service organizations, public entities and foundations in a wide variety of strategy engagements. Specific client projects have ranged from leading the development of business growth and strategic plans to capacity building assessments for strategic grantmaking collaboratives. Cynthia also manages the internal operations and personnel for the organization. Prior to NP Strategies, Cynthia worked in operations at General Mills, Inc. where she managed the largest East Coast grocer account, Ahold, and specialized in operations management and supply chain efficiencies. In addition to being an active community volunteer, Cynthia chaired several employee committees including the Tri-Healthalon Group, Newcomers Network and Communications for the Asian-American Committee.

Cynthia received her Master's in International Affairs with a focus on Latin American International Development and Nonprofit Management from the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California, San Diego and a BS/BA in both Management and International Business from Drake University. She is a READ/San Diego Adult Literacy tutor with the public library's literacy, English as a Second Language and family free literacy program for adults.
