Jessica Rodgers, Board Member

Jessica Rodgers was raised in San Diego. She attended Scripps College, and graduated with a BA in sociology. Following working in the field of education for Jumpstart Pitzer, an Americorps program, Jessica entered the nonprofit arena as an Administrative Assistant at Oxfam America in Boston, MA, where she became an active member of YNPN Boston. Upon her return to California, Jessica got her teaching credential in social science. After a few years of teaching middle and high schools, she turned again to nonprofits by joining the Member Relations and Fundraising Committees at YNPN San Diego. The network was a strong support system through which Jessica found work at Volunteer San Diego as a Program Assistant.

Again, through support she found from colleagues in the nonprofit world, Jessica now works as Executive Assistant to the CEO at 211 San Diego. There, she schedules meetings for the CEO and has the opportunity to meet various nonprofit and governmental personnel throughout San Diego. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys volunteering, baking, cooking and finding new and exciting restaurants to eat at with good company. She also has a food blog that she started after being introduced to social media through her work at YNPN San Diego.
