YNPN Book Club Presents: Negotiations
We all know that negotiation is an important skill in the professional world, but often we struggle with how to use it in our own lives. Join us for FREE on March 9th from 6-8pm as we dive into the basics of negotiation and talk how to be successful at working with others to solve problems. We'll discuss this video by Margaret Neale, a well-known professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business https://vimeo.com/80117080. According to Neale, successful negotiations do not begin as a demand or ultimatum. Rather, they start with the question, “Is there an alternative solution that can benefit both you and me?”
This Book Club event will provide you with a taste of what to expect at YNPN's upcoming Professional Development workshop on Negotiation featuring Kim Eisenberg, a local Career Coach & Talent Management Specialist, happening March 24th. Kim will take the conversation one step further by presenting how negotiation is an everyday occurrence and going into detail about how to approach situations like negotiating job offers and raises/promotions.
