By sharing information, connecting individuals and building skills of emerging leaders, YNPN helps to move individuals across the continuum from emerging to seasoned leaders, ensuring San Diego's nonprofit sector has the leadership necessary to continue meeting the community's needs.
YNPN San Diego does this by:
- Hosting quarterly Meet & Greets that create a professional community of nonprofit emerging leaders by providing a safe space to connect and network.
- Organizing various Professional Development Gatherings that bring nonprofit emerging leaders and season leaders in dialogue with each other around career and sector development/pathing.

The San Diego chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network is a volunteer-driven membership organization that connects and develops nonprofit leaders to leverage our collective strengths. YNPN San Diego’s activities focus on attracting talented people to the sector, helping young professionals or people new to the sector to connect with their peers and gain new skills. YNPNsd provides programs and events that help develop current and emerging nonprofit leaders. With support from the YNPN National Network, we advocate for the interests of dynamic nonprofit professionals in the sector.
The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of San Diego (YNPN San Diego) activates emerging leaders by connecting them with the resources, people, and ideas they need to advance the nonprofit sector.
