Book club is back!
UPDATE!
Please note the change of location. We are sad to find out that Wine Steals is being forced to suddenly shut its doors this week. We'll see you at the office of the American Diabetes Association. Beer, pizza, and cheer will be provided!
Parking directions: There is no ADA signage on the building. It is a red brick building call Five Governor, pull around either side and park in the back. ADA is the first suite on the left in the breezeway.
Join us for our YNPN SD Book Club this month, where we'll be tackling the topic of...
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)
in the nonprofit sector!
There has been a lot of tension this year in our society related to race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious freedom, and other critical aspects of people’s identity.
Whether its related to discussions about systemic racism in policing practices or concerns about the safety of LGBTQ community members following acts of terrorism or political fuss directed at a female presidential candidate, this subject is all over the news.
We'll be reading two articles and engaging in a raw conversation with special guest Kyra Greene, who works as a Research & Policy Analyst on EDI issues at the Center for Policy Initiatives (CPI).

The readings are:
1) "Hey, You Got a Little Racism Stuck In Your Teeth" from the Nonprofit With Balls blog written by Vu Le
2) "The Nonprofit Sector Has a Ferguson Problem" from Nonprofit Quarterly written by Derwin Dubose
Come ready to converse. We'll be providing appetizers and cheer.
