Bill Berroth, Meals on Wheels
Pronouns: He/Him
Bill began his career in auto insurance, first at GEICO, where he handled collision and medical claims, and later at Farmers, where he worked on bodily injury files. Years in that world gave him thick skin and sharp investigative instincts, but eventually the work stopped aligning with the kind of person he wanted to be. Evaluating life-altering losses pushed him to rethink his path entirely, and for the first time in my life, he walked away without another job lined up.
A few months later, Bill joined Meals on Wheels San Diego as a driver, and everything clicked. He found work that felt human, meaningful, and worth pouring himself into. Since then, he’s worn a few hats and grown into an Operations Specialist working to ensure clients receive nutritious meals and regular wellness checks. Bill joined YNPN San Diego to keep growing in this sector, connect with others who care about community impact, and help more people in their journey through mission-driven work.
My favorite thing about San Diego is its range, beaches, mountains, the desert, Mexico, LA, everything close enough to make life feel full. Good food, good weather, and a place that feels like home.

Being able to put on a successful event while bringing a community closer together is her goal. When she’s not at work, you can catch her exploring the outdoors or eating ice cream at Salt & Straw.
